The Rempla Gift Reserve is the account your scheduled-gift payment is held in between purchase and delivery. It is an interest-bearing custodial account at an FDIC-insured U.S. bank, titled for your benefit. Rempla acts as a service provider — administering your prepaid gift on your instructions — not as your trustee, investment manager, insurer, or preneed provider.
Interest earned on the Reserve helps offset inflation so the purchasing power of your gifts is preserved over time. Your total price at checkout is guaranteed: you will never be charged more, even if costs rise faster than expected, and Rempla absorbs any shortfall.
The guaranteed price
The total you see at checkout includes the gift value, projected inflation through the delivery date, and a Rempla service fee. Once you confirm, that total is the most you will ever pay — even if the underlying product or service becomes more expensive. If interest earned plus your initial payment exceeds the final cost, the excess stays in the Reserve and may be refunded per the refund policy below.
Where your funds sit
Funds are held at an FDIC-insured U.S. bank in a custodial account titled for your benefit. FDIC coverage depends on account titling and applicable law, typically up to the standard $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, per ownership category. The Reserve is not an investment account — it is not invested in securities, not pooled with Rempla’s operating funds, and not available to Rempla’s creditors.
Your payment options
Pay in Full Today
A single upfront payment funds the Reserve for all of your configured occurrences. Interest begins accruing immediately and maximizes the inflation offset. Best when you want the strongest price-guarantee coverage and no future billing to manage.
Annual
One year of funding is added to the Reserve each time your annual payment posts. Annual billing may be interrupted upon your passing. If your schedule runs past your passing, you must ensure the Reserve is adequately funded to cover remaining occurrences, or Rempla will adjust the remaining schedule per the Terms and Conditions.
Monthly
Each monthly payment funds the next month of the Reserve. Monthly billing may be interrupted upon your passing. If your schedule runs past your passing, you must ensure the Reserve is adequately funded, or Rempla will adjust the remaining schedule per the Terms and Conditions.
Refunds and remaining balance
You can request a refund of your remaining Reserve balance at any time, minus administrative costs as set out in the Terms and Conditions. After your final scheduled gift is delivered, any remaining balance is refunded to the beneficiary of the gift from which the excess derives (the default), or to another designated person or charitable organization you set through your Rempla dashboard, less an administrative fee.
What the Gift Reserve is not
The Gift Reserve is not preneed funeral, burial, or cemetery services; not life, annuity, or any other form of insurance; not a trust; and not an investment product. Rempla is a service provider that administers prepaid, scheduled gift delivery on your behalf.
The full terms governing the Rempla Gift Reserve — including administrative fees, refund mechanics, interest treatment, and remaining-balance handling — are set out in the
Terms and Conditions.
